Terms of Service

Last updated: March 20, 2026

Acceptance

By using Blip ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. You must be at least 16 years old to use Blip.

The Service

Blip provides disposable email addresses for temporary use. Inboxes and their contents are ephemeral and subject to automatic deletion based on your plan's retention settings. Blip is not a permanent email service — do not use it as your sole email address for critical communications.

Accounts

You can use Blip anonymously on the Free tier. Creating an account (via magic link sign-in) is required for paid features. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address used to sign in.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Blip to:

  • Send spam or unsolicited email
  • Engage in fraud, phishing, or impersonation
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Abuse the service infrastructure (automated mass creation of inboxes, denial-of-service, etc.)
  • Circumvent rate limits or tier restrictions
  • Use the service to harass, threaten, or harm others
  • Distribute malware or malicious content

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.

API and programmatic access

Access to the Blip API is subject to rate limits. API keys (Agent tier) are personal and must not be shared. You are responsible for all activity under your API key. We may revoke API keys that are used in violation of these terms.

Paid plans

Pro and Agent subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial months.

We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not affect the current billing period.

Open source

Blip's core server is open source under AGPL-3.0. Self-hosted instances are not covered by these terms or our SLA. The managed service at useblip.email is a separate offering operated by bmcreations.

Intellectual property

The Blip name, logo, and branding are proprietary to bmcreations. Open-source code is licensed under AGPL-3.0. You retain ownership of any content you send or receive through the Service.

Availability

Blip is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. Email delivery depends on third-party infrastructure and sender behavior, and is not guaranteed.

Data and privacy

Your use of Blip is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Emails stored in Blip are automatically deleted according to your plan's retention period.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Blip and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost emails, missed communications, service interruptions, or data loss. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless bmcreations from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the state where bmcreations is incorporated. If you are an EU consumer, this does not affect your rights under mandatory local consumer protection laws.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
